Claxton are looking to hire a Projects QHSE Advisor on a full time, permanent basis. Based at their Facility in Great Yarmouth, the Projects QHSE Advisor will assist in the implementation of the QHSE strategy in conjunction with the projects department. They will support the management of QHSE systems, processes and policies, with a focus on project scope for the Great Yarmouth facility.
Duties
1. Support the creation and management of project risk registers in relation to QHSE project elements
2. Support the delivery of QHSE and Sustainability targets for all projects
3. Promote continued improvement of project related QHSE processes
4. Support the company in bids and quotations in respect of QHSE aspects
5. Produce and discharge Quality Inspection Test Plans for projects
6. Application of the non-conformance process to closure
7. Support project improvement activity (e.g. cost of poor quality, audit findings, customer feedback)
8. Ensuring all project documentation that relate to QHSE is controlled and authorised to schedule
9. Offer QHSE support to Project Managers/Engineers to ensure the effective delivery of project plans
10. Review, critique and manage the production of comprehensive programmes of work produced by Project Engineers to ensure they are in accordance with company contractual and regulatory requirements
11. Developing QHSE plans and Inspection Test Plans
12. Advise on QHSE related industry standards and legislation e.g. API, NORSOK, DNV quality requirements
13. Support PE/PM with development of safety risk items (from Risk Assessments) to be included in relevant section of Operational procedure/ risk assessment
14. Attend Pre-Job Briefings of Offshore crews to discuss key relevant safety items or security items
15. Promote a positive QHSE culture in all project applications and the wider business
16. Support the QHSE continual improvement plan and programs through the business
17. Report on QHSE project performance
18. Provide support to projects from the Great Yarmouth base
19. Assist in client visit/technical presentations as required
20. Supporting investigation and completion of project NCR's
Required
1. Level 3 certificate in Health and Safety and/or HNC in Engineering
2. Minimum 3 years' experience in Quality or Health and Safety position in an engineering environment
3. Offshore certificate in oil & gas and/or renewables, preferred
4. Knowledge of QHSE management systems and ISO standards
5. Quality control and inspection techniques
6. Project based risk management
7. Working knowledge of oil and gas operations, equipment and manufacturing processes, preferred
8. Good working knowledge of project QHSE systems
9. Experience of "selling" QHSE to directors/ senior managers and clients
10. Working in an offshore or projects delivery environment, preferred
11. Computer literate. With good written and verbal communication skills
12. Excellent "customer" facing skills e.g. influencing, negotiation and problem solving
13. Research skills backed up by effective and practical written procedures
14. Commitment to continuous improvement
15. Reaction to change promptly and efficiently
16. Understanding and interpretation of QHSE Regulations, preferred
17. Supportive, team player
18. Ability to cooperate with comfort at all levels of the business and clients
19. Able to prioritise and meet deadlines
