Job summary
We are looking to recruit a receptionist to work across two main receptions in the Hospital.
The applicant must have excellent and clear communication skills, including verbal and listening as this role is the first point of contact for patients and visitors to the Hospital.
This role is one of a flexible team of staff who support the Receptions and General Office functions. It is a rewarding and busy post.
The post is no fixed working pattern, covering between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday on a flexible rota.
Flexibility is key to this role as the team support each other in covering annual leave and sickness absence.
Once fully trained the successful application will be expected to work on their own.
Main duties of the job
First point of contact for visitors, patients, staff, contractors
Telephone enquiries
Directional enquiries
Accepting and directing deliveries
Liaising with all staff and departments across the Hospital
Reception is staffed from 8am to 8pm.
Training will be provided
Note the applicant must be able to meet the 8pm shift rota, and be flexible to assist in covering 6 weeks annual leave.

Estates & Facilities are responsible for the Hospital site from grounds to equipment maintenance. The Aintree site employs over 700 staff within Estates & Facilities and the administrative team are key to this.
This role will work with colleagues in Medical Engineering, Domestics, Catering, Laundry, Maintenance, Porters and Drivers, Sustainability, Travel and Health & Safety.
