Accessories Product Developer Annual Salary: Up to £30,000 (dependent on qualification and experience) Location: Watford and London Job Type: Full-time We are seeking an experienced Accessories Product Developer to join our client's dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in accessories design and production, possessing technical knowledge and a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will develop products, coordinate production, and maintain high standards of quality and efficiency. Day-to-day of the role: Develop products and coordinate production for all collections. Work closely with the accessories designer to create line lists and pricelists. Negotiate with factories for FOBs and keep track of pricing from suppliers. Ensure all samples are developed to targeted deadlines with the desired aesthetic. Manage Prototypes, SMS, and Pre-Production/QR requests and follow-up to factories. Research materials, components, construction techniques, and finishes. Produce visual research, sketches, Tech Packs, and mock-ups/samples as required for product development. Maintain accuracy of Tech Packs and BOMs sent out to factories. Provide clarity on current sampling, shipment status, raw material stock, and budget status. Update the WIP report and manage the Shipment Tracker file. Communicate timeline conflicts, quality risks, changes, and action items daily. Identify and communicate any quality control concerns and implement processes to ensure high standards. Develop effective working relationships with suppliers and ensure smooth information flow between all actors of the process. Manage all day-to-day communication with factories and suppliers. Schedule fitting and production meetings to ensure milestones are met. Manage showroom samples and coordinate show preparation. Travel to factories and fairs as needed. Required Skills & Qualifications: A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role. Bachelor’s degree in Design, Business, Fashion, or a related field. Technical knowledge of accessories product, materials, construction techniques, and finishes. Experience with supplier visits in the Far East or Europe. Excellent organisational skills and ability to work well under pressure. Strong IT skills including Excel, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Solution-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
