The role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Partnerships & Media to join our growing marketing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic partnerships and media initiatives that drive user acquisition and revenue growth. You will lead the charge in identifying, cultivating, and managing key partnerships, as well as expanding our media offering across a number of channels.
As a senior leader within the marketing organisation, you will have the opportunity to shape our partnerships and media approach to drive growth. You will work cross-functionally with teams across marketing, product, and operations to maximise the impact of partnerships, and best-in-class media solutions that drive measurable results.
The successful candidate will balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, ensuring Motorway builds standout partnerships and a distinctive media presence in the used-car market.

What you'll do
* Strategic Partnership Development & Growth
o Develop and execute a high-impact partnerships strategy that aligns with core business and marketing objectives.
o Develop and execute joint marketing campaigns with partners to drive customer acquisition and engagement.
* Partnership Development & Management:
o Identify, evaluate, and prioritise potential strategic partnerships that align with our business objectives.
o Negotiate and manage partnership agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
o Develop and execute joint marketing campaigns and initiatives with partners.
o Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, fostering long-term collaboration.
o Find and create opportunities for growth through new media and partnership channels.
* Partner-Centric Media Offering Expansion:
o Conceptualise and build a comprehensive and scalable media offering that leverages our platform and partner relationships.
o Design and execute media campaigns on behalf of partners, ensuring alignment with our brand values and consumer needs.
o Identify and implement strategies to monetise these partner-driven media campaigns, generating new revenue streams.
o Develop creative solutions that integrate partner messaging seamlessly into our existing media channels.
o Lead the execution of innovative media solutions across digital, social, and traditional channels, ensuring alignment with our brand positioning.
o Work closely with creative, performance marketing, brand marketing and analytics teams to deliver compelling, high-performing media campaigns.
* Leadership & Collaboration:
o Lead and mentor a team of partnership and media professionals.
o Collaborate closely with other marketing teams (e.g. brand, product, analytics) to ensure alignment and consistency.
o Develop and implement processes and best practices for partnership and media management.
o Establish and embed best practices, tools, and processes for managing partnerships and media operations effectively.
Requirements:
* Senior leadership experience in partnerships, media buying/ selling, or business development, preferably in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Automotive experience is a bonus.
* Proven track record of developing and managing successful partnerships.
* Strong understanding of media planning, buying, and optimisation across various channels (e.g., digital, social, traditional).
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to articulate the quantitative and qualitative impact of our efforts.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach.
* Experience leading and managing teams.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Experience with marketing analytics platforms such as Looker.
