Paragon Referrals in Wakefield, West Yorkshire have a fantastic and rare opportunity to join the veterinary imaging team, focusing on the use of our state-of-the-art MRI and CT. This role will involve working alongside our Radiographer, Diagnostic Imager and Veterinary Surgeons to perform a full range of MRI, CT and fluoroscopy examinations to a high quality. You will be supporting and assisting the multiple services at Paragon including Neurology, Oncology, Medicine, Orthopaedics and Soft Tissue, with an interesting and varied caseload. We are looking for a radiographer with a degree level qualification in Diagnostic Radiography and 3 years experience in MRI and CT. Previous experience of working within the veterinary industry is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided The position is full time (40 hours) and flexible working will be considered Key duties will include but are not limited to; Operating the Toshiba 1.5T Vantage Elan MRI scanner, 16 slice Toshiba Lightening Aquilion CT and fluoroscopy Adhering to all H&S regulations Infection control Communicating with all team members Working with patient coordinator to run the order of the day In absence of Lead Radiographer run daily QA and other necessary checks. The ophthalmology team are led by globally recognised diplomate James Rushton and also work closely in collaboration with Veterinary Vision (as with other centres within the Linnaeus group). We are keen to support development of vets throughout their careers and have a number of residency programmes as well as a rotating internship.
