Base pay range
You will be joining a very prestigious, well-established and globally recognised Law Firm as their Accounts Payable Assistant on an initial 12 month FTC. Part of a sizable team of 9 in Accounts Payable, you will be surrounded by like-minded and high-performing colleagues who will be there to support you from day one. Based in their modern offices in Central Bristol three days a week, you will have the option to work from home for the remaining two days.
Role Responsibilities
In your new role, you will be responsible for consistently interacting with UK budget holders and key personnel within external organisations, ensuring that supplier payments/staff expenses/foreign currency are processed with adherence to GAAP, VAT legislation and the firm's internal controls, inputting transactions on behalf of the finance department, liaising with the management accounts team regarding the coding structure of the general ledger and remaining in regular contact with other members of the Cashiers and AP team.
Role Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need to have proven experience in Accounts Payable, ideally in a Legal or a Professional Services environment but this is not essential. You will possess outstanding communication skills and be a team player who works collaboratively with others to provide quality support to the team and wider business. You will be able to interact with colleagues at all levels and be open to change. You will have previously used an Accounts software and be confident with the use of Excel to an intermediate level.
In Return
You will receive an annual salary of up to £32,000 + Benefits (including generous pension contribution, free lunch every Monday and Friday in the office and 5% bonus entitlement) and this package will be regularly reviewed to remain in line with market rate. You will be joining an incredibly well-known and reputable Law Firm that could potentially offer you a permanent opportunity once your contract comes to an end. You will be supported by a very welcoming, high-performing and engaging team who will be there to assist with your transition into the business and continued learning/development. You will be based in their very modern Central Bristol office 3 days a week with the opportunity to work from home from the remaining 2 days, in line with the firms hybrid model.
