* Act as a specialist physiotherapist and be a source of expertise and feedback to colleagues and stakeholders.
* Work autonomously within Trust policy and professional practice and maintain accurate and comprehensive up to date records.
* Perform specialist assessment and treatment of patients within the Integrated MSK Service.
* Use advanced clinical reasoning skills to identify where further investigations or non-physiotherapy management may be required.
* Support junior colleagues in making requests for further investigations.
* Determine a clinical diagnosis, deliver, implement and evaluate individualised treatment programmes.
* Be aware of current clinical research for own specialty and inform colleagues on updating practice.
* Provide clinical leadership with regards to best practice and current research.
* Assist the MSK Service Manager in clinical governance action plans, service initiatives, and in the planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluation of the service.
* Educate and train all grades of physiotherapists and non-qualified healthcare staff including GPs/FCPs.
* Deputise or assume delegated responsibility in the absence of Service manager when required.
Person Specification
* Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent
* HCPC registration
* Evidence of CPD in the form of a detailed personal development portfolio
* Highly developed specialist knowledge/experience to Masters' level or equivalent in a specialist clinical area
* Injection Therapy
Work related circumstances
* Flexible to meet the needs of the service. This may involve working in the evening and at weekends.
* Use of a car or access to a means of mobility to travel across the Trust footprint in line with service needs.
* Willing to carry out all duties and responsibilities of the post in accordance with the Trust's Equal Opportunities and Equality and Diversity policies.

* Appropriate level of post-registration experience in a specialist clinical field.
* Experience of leadership within a team.
* Experience of liaison with other professionals, partnership working, and networking.
* Research and Development awareness and/or experience.
* Audit experience of own and others practice.
* Contribution to service and staff development.
Knowledge
* Highly specialist knowledge in anatomy and physiology to underpin relevant clinical skills/practice.
* Good working knowledge of all areas of clinical governance including quality, audit, and risk management.
* Understanding of computers/IT and commonly used applications.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Salary: £46,148 to £52,809 a year (pro rata)
