What you will do:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Registered Mental Health Nurse to be seconded to the inpatient team within Clonbeith Ward, Ailsa Hospital, for a 12-month period from April 2025.
* Support the nursing team in providing safe, recovery-focused, rights-based, effective clinical practice.
* Enhance the patients’ experience of care.
* Manage and develop the performance of the team in collaboration with the Senior Charge Nurse.
* Contribute to the department's objectives.
* Assist in coordinating care within the multidisciplinary team.

Knowledge, training, and experience:
As a registered Mental Health Nurse on Part 3 of the NMC register, you will provide high-quality clinical care for individuals with organic mental health difficulties. The role requires strong clinical knowledge, leadership qualities, and the ability to supervise staff effectively. Applicants should demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills, with a positive attitude and calm demeanor. Willingness to undertake further training is essential.
Hours:
37 hours - fixed-term post, 74 hours per fortnight. A flexible approach to shift patterns is required.
