We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to join our acute medical admissions team on the Discharge Lounge at the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital (NSECH). The team provides high standard and safe care to all patients suffering from acute medical illness.
The successful candidate will have exemplary communication skills and be highly motivated. The discharge lounge comprises 15 beds and 4 chair spaces and specializes in the ongoing journey of patients moving to different specialties within the organization and those transitioning to home or community-based care.
While experience would be an advantage, full training will be provided. We work closely with all members of the MDT to provide a holistic approach to patient care.

Main Duties of the Job
* Candidate must demonstrate compassion and care towards their patients and be able to deliver a high standard of care. One must possess good communication and organizational skills.
* Must be willing to work flexible hours to meet the service needs of our patients, which includes weekends and night shifts. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable.
Job Responsibilities
Undertakes a range of delegated clinical care duties in hospital, community, and other settings. Records patient observations and changes to patient clinical conditions. Carries out limited clinical care duties.

Qualifications
* Knowledge of care and related procedures, clinical observations, and relevant legislation.
* Completion of a competency-based program or equivalent relevant experience.
* Level 3 qualification in a healthcare-related subject or a portfolio of equivalent demonstrable experience.
