Position:
An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Medical Records Officer based at Ayrshire Central Hospital.
What you will do:
You will provide comprehensive, confidential clerical and administrative support to the Medical Records Service throughout the Ayrshire Central Hospital campus.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
You will be educated to ‘O’ Grade / Standard Grade Credit or National 5 in English and Maths and possess an SVQ Level II qualification in Administration or equivalent experience. You will also have good proven typing skills, experience of data input and have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and associated packages (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams & PowerPoint). Experience of using the electronic Patient Management System (PMS – Trakcare) and experience of working within an NHS environment as well as an understanding of NHS inter-disciplinary networks are desirable. You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written, have the ability to adhere to strict maintenance of confidentiality with a knowledge/understanding and compliance of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as well as the flexibility to adapt to changes and last minute demands.

Hours:
24.67 per week, working Monday 9.30 am to 2.20 pm and Tuesday to Friday 9.30 am to 2.30 pm.
