Managing patient database EMIS, greeting and dealing with patients, booking appointments, and completing patient tasks allocated to you.
Working with an established team of receptionists with experience from 3 - 10 years of service.
Hours:
Wednesday 8am - 6.30pm - 1 hour lunch break
Thursday 8am - 6.30pm - 1 hour lunch break
Friday 8am - 6.30pm - 1 hour lunch break
Main duties of the job
1. Maintaining and monitoring the Practice appointments system
2. Processing personal and telephone requests for appointments, visits, and telephone consultations, ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional
3. Processing and distributing incoming and outgoing mail
4. Taking messages and passing on information
5. Filing and retrieving paperwork
6. Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; processing and recording information in accordance with Practice procedures
7. Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team members, and associated healthcare agencies and providers
8. Ordering, re-ordering, and monitoring of stationery and other supplies
About us
We are a team of 7 GP Partners, 3 Salaried Doctors, a Nurse Practitioner, Pharmacist, Practice Nurses, and Admin support.
We have an excellent relationship with our patients and are a very friendly, supportive, caring team.
Job responsibilities
Training will be provided in-house and externally.
You will be based at Old School Surgery, Pontyclun, CF72 9AA.

* GCSE English and Maths
* NVQ in Customer Care
Experience
* Previous experience in providing customer service/patient care
* IT experience
* Experience of working in a GP Surgery
* Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
