Humanities Teacher (Full-Time, Temporary)
Location: Shirley, Birmingham
Salary: £31,650 - £43,606 per annum (dependent on experience, training, or qualifications)
Minimum Requirement: Suitable qualification to teach Humanities, i.e., PGCE with valid QTS/QTLS
Start Date: Easter 2025
About the Role
ABC Teachers is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Humanities Supply Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Shirley. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed educator to inspire students across KS3 and KS4, covering subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Studies. This high-achieving secondary school is known for its inclusive learning environment, strong leadership, and commitment to academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver engaging Humanities lessons to secondary students.
2. Plan and assess work in line with the national curriculum.
3. Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning atmosphere.
4. Inspire a love for Humanities subjects, encouraging critical thinking and debate.
Requirements
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
2. Experience teaching Humanities at KS3 and KS4.
3. A passion for education and a strong commitment to student development.
4. Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to a new school environment.
5. Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check, and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship).
6. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
