The Role
As the Assistant Manager, you will oversee and lead the daily operations of our concession store in Myer, Melbourne. This role will report to our Melbourne Multi-Site Manager who is based in Tissot Collins St.
In this role, you will be mainly responsible for sales management, staff training, operation management, and maintaining product and visual merchandise standards in line with company guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
1. Driving sales targets / goals / objectives
2. Communicate targets / budgets clearly
3. Handle elevated customer complaints
4. Lead the team and set high customer service standards
5. Ensure all sides of the selling cycles are of the highest standard
6. Conduct regular training for all staff
7. Conduct operations training (Concession cash register, checking stock)
8. Clearly communicate with the Multi-site Manager any important matters
Skills and Experience
1. Retail management experience preferably in a concession setting
2. Highly developed and proven customer service skills
3. Excellent people management skills
4. Computer literacy skills: Word, Excel
5. Great administrative skills
6. Good understanding of basic financials related to store management
7. Inventory management
8. Outstanding time management skills
