Salary: £53,724 - £59,220 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) + Market Premia of Standard 10% of top of grade
Working Hours: 37 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Development and Growth service as the Team Manager for Highway Development Management.
About the Role
The role involves the leadership and management of the team in line with the attached Job Description/Person Specification. The team is responsible for responding to statutory consultations on over 3,500 planning applications a year and provides input to all stages of the planning process. The role involves significant contact with Local Planning Authorities, developers, applicants, and internal and external stakeholders; therefore, communication skills are key.
About You
To apply for this post, you must:
* Be a Chartered Civil Engineer (or equivalent) OR be able to demonstrate work experience in development management.
* Have experience of performance management in line with a service plan.
* Think strategically and apply this thinking to the development of policies and strategies.
* Have knowledge of policies and procedures associated with highways and transport legislation.
* Be able to build powerful relationships across stakeholders, peers and partners, creating open and transparent relationships based on trust.
* Have excellent communication and presentation skills including the ability to shape and influence to achieve successful outcomes and to continue to build on the credibility of the Council and its services.
You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity, and inclusion. In addition, we also expect you to share and will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the selection process.
