As a Pipeline Gas Engineer, you’ll step into a dynamic role where no two days are the same. From tackling hands-on maintenance tasks to protecting critical infrastructure, you’ll be the heart of keeping our gas flowing safely and efficiently. Here’s a glimpse of what you will take on:
- Hands on Maintenance: Carry out essential maintenance on our pressure regulating installations (up to 85 bar) while upholding our exceptional standards.
- Fault Response: Respond to system alerts and resolve faults to keep everything flowing smoothly.
- Protecting the network: Advise third parties on the impact of their work on Cadent assets and oversee excavations near our infrastructure.
- Keeping Pipelines Safe: Perform inspections, condition monitoring and maintenance ensuring everything is safe, compliant and reliable

Who We’re Looking For:
Were seeking individuals with hands on experience in pipeline maintenance, plant operations or related sectors as well as:
- Qualifications: ideally you will have a mechanical or Engineering Maintenance qualification such as a NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
- Technical Know-How: A solid understanding of mechanical operations
- Flexibility: You’ll need to be adaptable and willing to work flexible hours (approximately 40 hours per week) and be on standby when required.
- On the Move: A full UK driving licence is essential, as his role involves frequent travel across the network.
