Job summary We have opportunities for Healthcare Support Workers to join our friendly inpatient wards at Lymington New Forest Hospital. Main duties of the job 1.Adhere to policies and procedures and contribute to their development. 2.Ensure employment of effective risk management 3.Assist in the implementation of evidence-based care in the ward/department. 4.Support the unit manager in meeting aims and objectives. 5.Identify any changes to working practice that would enhance the care of patients and report to the senior nurse. 6.Understand the importance of and maintain privacy and dignity and choice for patients at all times. 7.Understand the importance of disclaimer forms and the handling of patient's valuables. 8.Understand the need for effective communication and carry this out effectively ensuring qualified nursing staff are informed of any changes in the condition of circumstances of the patient. 9.Participate in service development as requested. 10.Maintain and clean equipment as necessary, accessing systems in place for equipment repairs etc. 11.Ensuring stores and nursing documentation are stored appropriately and kept topped up.
