An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and proactive individual to join the leadership team. We are looking for an experienced Manager who will have direct responsibility for effectively managing Patient Transport Operations within a designated geographical area, achieving contractual performance standards and ensuring the highest quality of care and patient satisfaction.
To establish new and innovative ways of delivering Patient Transport services in line with Trust strategic direction and ensure the Health, Safety and Welfare of all operational staff at all times.
As the SDM you will be a compassionate and driven leader, within your portfolio you will oversee finance, workforce, quality, performance and the operational management of teams.
The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, a commitment to patient care and performance delivery along with robust financial and workforce management experience. You will be highly collaborative, systematic and rigorous in your approach, with a high level of emotional intelligence. The role is a full time position, working on site/station daily to support the team and service delivery.
To manage Patient Transport Operations providing guidance and direction on a daily basis to all staff, including the PTS Operations Manager, Team Leaders, Ambulance Care Assistants, Operational Resource Administrators and administrators for the geographical area.
To be the principle point of contact for customers, managing strategic and operational developments and improvements to contract delivery.
To provide effective leadership to maintain good employee and industrial relations to maintain high quality services and involve staff side in the decision making process to achieve organisational objectives.
To undertake on-call in order to give advice and make Non-Emergency
decisions where necessary, as senior manager

Leading the operational team through the day to day core business within the patient transport team.
Supporting staff, looking after their health & well-being. Managing absences against policy, supporting the local management team.
Building relationships with our stakeholders and working cohesively across the regional PTS team.
