We are seeking to appoint a talented, committed and inspirational teacher of Film and Media Studies to join our successful and growing department. Both Film and Media Studies enjoy a strong reputation within the school based in the Sixth Form centre: our results are deemed excellent, and the courses are very popular. The department is undertaking a rollout expansion already offering A-Level KS5 Film Studies & Media Studies, and now developing our KS4 curriculum offering GCSE Media Studies over a three-year course streamlining teaching & learning through the Eduqas specification. The ability to teach English and/or Drama would be advantageous but not essential.
The department enjoys excellent facilities in a new state of the art sixth form centre consisting of two media suite classrooms with high-spec imaging computers, running adobe cloud on our own media server, a full sound proof, black out cinema room/photography studio, an editing suite with dual monitors for independent & group production work; with our very own industry TSA. If you are an outstanding teacher and have the ability to inspire and motivate students across both KS4 & 5 then this position is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, innovative and growing department.
The person we are seeking will:
* Be able to teach KS4 & KS5 Film & Media Studies.
* Be passionate about Film and Media and have the desire to share that passion with students.
* Be an innovative and inspiring classroom teacher.
* Be committed to helping all students make outstanding progress.
* Be able to work collaboratively in a team, including working with our TSA.
* Be reflective and eager to develop their teaching skills.
* Be passionate to grow and develop pedagogy within the department.
* Be able to show knowledge of industry experience using adobe suite, this would be advantageous but not essential.
