Job Title: Supply Chain Coordinator
Location: Head Office, Leeds Centre
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supply Chain Coordinator to join a fast growing environmental business. This role is critical in driving productivity, quality, and efficiency across the national supply chain to enhance profitability and maintain a competitive edge. The successful candidate will support the Operations function in reviewing and optimising our subcontractor relationships, ensuring that service offerings remain superior in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
* Optimise Supplier Relationships: Review and enhance existing supplier agreements, focusing on improving quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
* Identify New Suppliers: Proactively identify and propose potential new partners to the Operations Function.
* Manage Quotation Pipeline: Oversee the national quotations pipeline, ensuring swift and accurate pricing for various business areas.
* Maintain Pricing Structures: Regularly review, update, and manage pricing structures within the company's IT database platforms.
* Conduct Supplier Audits: Perform desktop audits to assess supplier performance and compliance.
* Monitor Supplier Performance: Continuously monitor and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring they meet established targets.
* Supplier Engagement: Communicate with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, provide feedback, and address any changes or forecasts.
* Support Price Negotiations: Assist in planning and executing price increase negotiations.
* Enhance Data Collection: Identify gaps in data reporting from suppliers and implement strategies to collect the necessary information.
* Improve Processes: Develop and recommend processes to expedite pricing opportunities and reduce inefficiencies in the supply chain.
* Increase Profitability: Identify opportunities to add value and enhance the profitability of the business.
* Develop New Supplier Relationships: Follow established procedures to onboard new suppliers, ensuring compliance with company standards.
* Collaborate on Overflow Tasks: Provide support to the Operations Team with additional tasks as needed.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Experience: Proven ability to meet targets, with supply chain management experience being advantageous.
* Skills:
* Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage time and prioritise tasks effectively.
* Strong negotiation, persuasion, and influencing abilities.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Advanced IT skills, particularly in modern software systems and Microsoft Office.
* A proactive, enthusiastic, and self-disciplined approach to work.
* Strong problem-solving capabilities.
Knowledge:
* In-depth understanding of modern software systems and supply chain management best practices.
* Knowledge of the waste and recycling industry is desirable but not essential.
Qualifications:
* GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent.
