Barcadia Media is looking for a new part time Accounts Assistant to support our busy Accounts team About Us We are a thriving publishing, marketing and events business based at our custom-designed office in sunny Blackpool. Barcadia’s close-knit team manages a vast portfolio of clients ranging from sole traders to banking giants and fly the flag for the North West in the London-centric market of financial services. We also have a growing portfolio of small businesses under our parent company, so the work is diverse and varied – but always interesting. Our ideal candidate Experience with Quickbooks is ideal but not essential Preferably be AAT qualified or currently studying towards You will have experience transacting BACs, CHAPs and FP payments as well as experience of using online banking systems and managing and processing weekly payment runs. You will have outstanding IT skills with experience of using Microsoft office, specifically Excel to ensure that you are able to undertake all daily tasks are essential. A track record working in accounts. Proactive and not afraid to pick up the phone. Able to wear several hats as this role covers several businesses under our umbrella so you will have to keep track of each individually. Be a confident communicator at all levels - we deal with clients ranging from sole traders to international banking giants. A little more about the role Itself Provide a professional and fully comprehensive Payments service, including processing invoices and dealing with supplier enquiries via email and telephone. Managing the bank accounts, bank reconciliation & purchase ledgers. Liaising with our associated business managers on all purchasing matters. Allocating payments and receipts. Chasing clients for all outstanding monies. What we are offering We will offer between 14-21 part time hours based in our Blackpool office.
