Job summary The job holder will play an essential role supporting the Lead Nurse in providing care for children in the Emergency Area whilst supporting the nursing teams throughout the 24-hour period. As an experienced children's nurse, the job holder will co-ordinate activities in the department ensuring effective communication is maintained at all times, providing support to qualified and unqualified staff within the department. He/she will play a key role in the assessment of patient care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care.
