This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Compliance Team at Renewable Energy Assurance Ltd (REAL). As well as several other schemes, REAL runs the Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC). With over 5,000 members across the UK, RECC is uniquely positioned to set industry-leading standards and is the foremost consumer protection champion in the domestic renewable energy sector. RECC provides consumer protection and compliance standards for installers of renewable energy products, offering ADR services, training resources and bespoke business and consumer guidance. We are looking for a new team member to join our highly trained and experienced team to help us monitor and enforce compliance with RECC’s high standards. Offering an excellent opportunity to gain valuable compliance experience in the renewable energy sector, the Compliance and Enforcement Officer will help RECC member meet the standards expected of them and take swift and proportionate action where problems are found. Person specification We are looking for a motivated, strong communicator and team player, with exceptional analytical and drafting skills, who can manage their time and demonstrate tangible achievements in a comparable role. Knowledge of the renewable energy sector, consumer protection landscape and/or Data Protection Regulations would be desirable. Minimum requirements Undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience. Job Responsibilities 1. To support the delivery of the RECC Monitoring Strategy, you will be expected to undertake a number of tasks including: conducting compliance checks on members gathering intelligence investigating irregularities and non-compliance issues advising and implementing actions to resolve non-compliances promptly 2. Managing the RECC compliance questionnaire process 3. Assisting with the RECC audit process 4. Drafting professional correspondence as part of the disciplinary process 5. Communicating with Code members by email and telephone 6. Helping to develop and improve communication processes with members 7. Collaborating with the wider RECC team 8. Representing RECC at external meetings and building relationships with relevant authorities and other stakeholders. Salary and benefits This is a permanent, full-time position, with an annual salary of £25,000 - £27,000 depending on experience.
