About the role
Are you ready to lead a fantastic team of cleaning operatives? We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Cleaning Operative Supervisor to join us! In this role, you'll ensure our team works safely and follows all Standard Operating Procedures and policies. You'll provide essential training, conduct reviews, manage return-to-work interviews, and keep everyone updated on business needs through regular meetings with your line manager.
You will be responsible for:
1. Supervise the team of cleaning operatives to ensure they are working safely and in line with Standard Operating Procedures and policies.
2. Ensure the team have the correct training, complete reviews and return to work interviews.
3. Attend meetings with line manager to ensure you are updated on the business needs.
4. Attend business and team updates/meetings as required and cascade messages to the cleaning team.
5. Conduct Risk Assessments and Cleaning Task Plans.
6. Ensure that provided PPE is worn.
7. Complete the daily/weekly tasks and duties in line with Store Support Centre Cleaning Team Task Plans.
8. Manage your own workload, prioritise, and take ownership of tasks while supporting your cleaning team colleagues' workload when necessary.
9. Ensure cleaning tasks are completed to pre-determined specifications and standards throughout.
10. Maintain polite and effective communication with colleagues and visitors.
11. Manage and control all consumable ordering of stock and communicate requests via the ordering process.
12. Ensure cleaning materials are safely stored and secured.
13. Vacuum and mop all areas.
14. Wash or wipe where necessary all furniture, fixtures, and fittings.
15. Clean kitchen surfaces and fridges.
16. Wipe down glass doors, door handles, panels, and inside of windows, frames, and sills.
17. Clean, mop, and disinfect toilet areas, panels, and tiles.
18. Empty and wipe down waste/recycling bins.
19. Transfer general waste, cardboard, plastics, recyclable items to segregated external bins.
You will need:
1. Experience in COSHH desired.
2. Manual Handling skills preferable.
3. Experience with Microsoft Office/Outlook applications preferable.
4. Good understanding of health and safety.
5. Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
6. Experience of balancing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
7. Ability to be flexible to provide cover for sickness/holiday.
