A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated People and Capability Advisor looking for a new challenge or the next step in their career. This role will act as a trusted partner to the senior operational team and managers, providing HR guidance, advice, and support. The role will be responsible for identifying, initiating, and delivering solutions across all aspects of attracting, retaining, and growing our internal capabilities including the appointment process for successful applicants. Note this role involves travel between sites as required.
Your New Role :
1. Develop strong relationships and provide our Operational Managers & Supervisors with high quality people advice to enhance business performance.
2. Under the guidance of the P&C Manager, develop and implement core people initiatives and processes, collaborating with leaders to include recruitment and onboarding, performance management frameworks, remuneration reviews, team and individual development, rewards and recognition, and engagement tools.
3. Provide advice, support and guidance to P&C team members including Co-ordinators.
4. Provide insightful data driven analytics that contribute to Key Performance Indicators and Business Success.
5. Provide advice & support for all internal grievances including FWC matters which may include investigations for P&C Manager review.
6. Under the guidance of the P&C Manager, develop and implement leadership capability, provide coaching and act as an advocate for broader leadership development programs.
7. Manage the attraction of new talent covering all aspects of recruitment and onboarding.
8. Ensure compliance with all health and safety and wellbeing obligations are met and provide regular reporting on these matters.
Your Skills and Experience :
1. Relevant tertiary or post graduate qualification and HR experience in blue collar & operational environment.
2. Proven experience providing HR advice with a commercial focus.
3. ER / IR Experience.
4. Strong track record in overseeing and executing on recruitment / hiring needs.
5. Experience in a blue-collar environment with respect to EA interpretation, unionised environments and an understanding of best practice contractual arrangements.
6. Ability to guide on performance management guidelines and conduct basic investigations (with guidance where needed).
7. Solid track record in implementing effective people initiatives, systems, policies, and processes that align with the organisational needs.
8. A strong relationship builder, with the ability and confidence to engage with managers and employees.
