We are looking for a Volunteer Manager to join our team. The role is full time and permanent. You'll work 36 hours per week and there will be some requirement to work weekends.

This is a great opportunity for a person passionate about volunteering. In this role, you will work with key members of the site and HR & Volunteering teams to design and implement new offers in volunteering. This will include managing and delivering the recruitment, training, support, retention, and recognition of volunteers engaged in all areas of English Heritage's work.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage the volunteer programme and journey for volunteers through the development of a volunteering plan, to deliver the targets set out in the English Heritage Volunteering Strategy.
2. Monitor, manage, document and evaluate the volunteering programme.
3. Build excellent and productive relationships with key partners and external stakeholders to develop the volunteer programme and new opportunities.
4. Participate in Duty Manager support for the site including out of hours as required.
Minimum Requirements
1. Relevant experience of successfully managing a diverse volunteering programme.
2. Experience of leading a team of volunteers in the delivery of consistent standards.
3. Experience of working with the local community.
4. Knowledge of the principles of volunteer involvement.
