This is a great opportunity for a plant engineer or someone with experience working on vehicles looking to take a step into construction plant. The company offer great training opportunities whilst offering a days-based role. Candidates will be mechanically biased and hold an NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent / above) in a related mechanical subject. Mechanically, you will ideally have experience with hydraulics and pneumatics. This role would suit candidates from the backgrounds working in with plant, HGVs, motor mechanics (car/van), small tools (including garden machinery) or similar. You will be responsible for carrying out maintenance on all plant machinery including vehicles and equipment from larger excavators to small plant, tools and generators. Working within a team of eight, you will spend around 70% of your time in the workshop and 30% of the role in the field. The company visit client sites throughout the UK, however, the field based work is predominately at sites along the southeast coast. The company can at times operate on a 24/7 basis and you will be occasionally asked to work overtime including weekends. The Workshop Engineer Role: · Mechanical and electrical maintenance repair of plant and associated equipment · Maintenance focus – repairs where required · 70% workshop based, 30% field based The Workshop Engineer Person: · Mechanical experience – plant, HGVs, motor mechanics (car/van), small tools (including garden machinery) or similar · Hold an NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent)
