Job description Overview We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and be adept at assembling, installing, and maintaining various components. The Fitter will work closely with engineers and other technicians to deliver exceptional results. Duties Assemble and install mechanical components according to specifications and technical drawings. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment. Interpret engineering drawings and schematics to ensure accurate assembly. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Document work completed, including any modifications or repairs made during the process. Assist in the training of junior staff as required. Requirements Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the workplace is essential. Relevant qualifications or certifications in engineering or mechanical fitting are advantageous but not mandatory.
