Salary: £29,969 - £36,483 per year

Role Overview:
As a Band 5 Midwife, you will play a crucial role in supporting mothers throughout the birth of their children, providing antenatal, intranatal, and postnatal care to all women during their in-patient stay. You will offer comprehensive health education, social care, and advice to women and their families, collaborating with multi-disciplinary and agency groups.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the care for low-risk women, promoting normal birthing processes, and work collaboratively with colleagues to support women with complex needs.
2. Respect women's informed decisions, plan and deliver evidence-based care, and advocate for women and their families.
3. Competently use medical devices, monitor maternal and fetal wellbeing, and uphold care standards in various settings.
4. Provide postnatal care, pain management, perform procedures, and support breastfeeding, along with providing bereavement care and managing care transfers.
5. Engage in on-call duties, develop postnatal care programs, and participate in training and professional development.
6. Comply with all midwifery and nursing procedures.
Requirements for this role:
1. Registered midwife on part 2 of the NMC professional register qualified.
2. At least 6 months recent UK NHS experience within the Midwifery Sector.
3. Completion of pre or post-registration midwifery programme.
4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills - effective advocate for women.
