Anderselite are currently working with a Tier 1 contractor who is seeking a M&E Project Manager to work on a Hospital project in Southampton.
The Opportunity
To manage the Company’s resources to achieve a successful outcome Technically, Commercially, Safely, and to the Client's Satisfaction on the Dorchesters Hospital New Emergency Department project. This is a site-based role reporting to the local office in Southampton.
What you will be doing
1. Managing all Engineering Services activities in line with the company IPCD.
2. Ensuring the safe and efficient execution of the project in line with company IPCD.
3. Managing the resources on the project on a day-to-day basis and reporting any staff issues as appropriate.
4. Managing project commercial issues and cost reporting (WIP).
5. Identifying the client's requirements and ensuring we deliver these requirements to the client's satisfaction.
6. Representing the company on any internal or external issues.
7. Preparing detailed plans and procedures to administer the project and ensuring the project team are familiar with and follow these guidelines.
8. Managing all project reporting provided upstream and downstream in a timely manner.
9. Regularly auditing the project to ensure compliance.
10. Communicating with the project team regularly on project-specific matters and company initiatives.
11. Managing the project cash flow to be positive throughout the life of the project.
12. Managing the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning to achieve the best value for Engineering Services.
13. Identifying all risks and managing actions and implementation to mitigate such risks.
What we will need from you
1. A multi-discipline senior project manager with experience of working on projects of £10m.
2. Managing a project team to reach completion within budget and to programme.
3. Programme production and management.
4. Interpreting the requirements of the specification.
5. Resolving any technical queries during the contract.
6. Managing procurement, labour, and sub-contractors.
7. Leading in managing variation accounts.
8. Leading in preparing monthly applications.
9. Construction management and liaising with the supervision team.
10. Site operations - installation and commissioning.
11. Maintaining good working relationships with the client and professional team.
12. Stakeholder engagement and management.
13. Controlling contract costs and variations.
14. Value engineering projects to create cost savings.
15. Coordinating M&E Services installations.
16. All health and safety requirements during the contract including compiling method statements and risk assessments.
17. Compilation and presentation of Operating & Maintenance Manuals.
18. Contract values ranging from £5m and above.
19. Healthcare experience.
Skills and Qualifications
1. Degree: BEng (Hons) Building Services Engineering - preferable.
2. BTEC HND Building Services - preferable.
3. BTEC: HNC Building Services - essential.
4. BTEC: ONC Building Services - essential.
5. CSCS card - essential.
6. SMSTS course - essential.
7. Computer Skills - MS Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel.
