We are looking to recruit a dedicated, energetic, and compassionate Support Worker to join our newest young persons 16-18 supported accommodation home, opening in Winchester in January 2025.
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting and encouraging the development of young people to achieve their full potential, equipping each young person with the skills necessary for successful independent living in adulthood.

Responsibilities
* Provide emotional support and compassionate listening
* Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, cooking, supporting young people with laundry and housekeeping
* Help young people to develop independent living skills including budgeting and daily activities
* Collaborate with professionals to ensure the well-being and safety of each young person including Children's Services, CAMHS, Police, and education
* Maintain accurate records and attend statutory meetings
* Promote independence and encourage individuals to participate in social activities
* Advocacy and assistance in accessing services such as medical appointments
* Promote the education, learning, and development of each young person and future education/employment plans

Education:
* GCSE or equivalent (required) in English and Maths
Experience:
* Residential Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
* Youth Work: 3 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
* Driving Licence (required)
* NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
