GBR Recruitment are working in exclusive partnership with a leading food manufacturing (High Risk) business, recruiting for an experienced Night Shift Hygiene Manager to lead a team of x15 Hygiene Operatives & x2 Team Leaders, on a Monday to Friday shift pattern.
You will be leading the night shift hygiene team in carrying out hygiene best practice & deep cleaning across x6 manufacturing lines.
You will lead audits & the effective management of hygiene-related tasks, ensuring high-end Food Safety & Integrity is maintained at all times (hygiene & GMP).
You will be an activist in promoting & maintaining the Food Integrity culture, as well as representing the Hygiene department during Customer visits & 3rd party audits.
Duties:
1. Mentoring, coaching & developing the Hygiene team to be the very best.
2. Managing the hygiene cleaning schedule, working closely with production to minimise machinery downtime.
3. Managing / delegating work to hygiene operatives.
4. Manage investigations into hygiene-related non-conformances, in line with the relevant company procedures.
5. Effective management of cleaning all factory equipment, including but not limited to cooking tins, racks & frames.
6. Updating the Holchem Platform & management of all CIC's.
7. Support Production Shift Managers with any non-conformance investigations where required.
8. Closely monitor & manage all chemicals on site, including the ordering of replenishment stock.
9. Closely monitor & manage all hygiene consumables on site including the ordering of replenishment stock.
10. Manage COSHH for the site, including maintenance of chemical list and SDS's.
11. Actively support the operations team during customer visits & audits.
12. Maintenance of hygiene traceability documentation including the presentation of hygiene traceability to Customers & any 3rd party auditors where necessary.
13. Investigate & resolve any hygiene-related downtime issues.
14. Provide hands-on support to the hygiene team ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner & to a high-quality standard.
15. Manage staff holidays & absence.
16. Complete gap analysis for staff training.
17. Plan & manage staff training / L&D for all.
18. Manage staff performance.
19. Pest Control Contractor Management.
Attributes:
1. Level 3 qualified in Food Safety & HACCP.
2. Knowledge of HACCP, COSHH, cleaning chemicals, pest control & current food safety regulations.
3. Experienced Hygiene Supervisor / Manager (Food).
4. High Risk experience desired.
5. Strong Management skills.
6. Hands on, mentor, coach & leader of others.
7. Flexible with working hours & patterns.
