GAP Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Branch Manager to join our team in Inverness. As a leading provider of low-maintenance building plastics, we specialise in supplying trade-quality products to the building industry and domestic customers.
In this role, you will manage the daily operations of our Inverness branch and ensure the efficient and effective delivery of our products and services. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, a strong understanding of the construction industry, and a drive to deliver exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Inverness branch, ensuring the smooth running of all departments and providing guidance and support to your team.
* Develop and maintain relationships with customers, identifying their needs and consistently delivering excellent customer service.
* Manage and motivate a team of depot operatives, providing guidance, training, and ongoing support to achieve individual and team sales targets.
* Monitor sales performance, analyse market trends, and implement strategies to drive sales growth and increase market share.
* Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with manufacturing and distribution to ensure adequate stock availability and timely order fulfilment.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
* Collaborate with the senior management team to develop and implement business strategies, goals, and objectives.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the building merchant, building plastics or construction industry.
* A valid driver's license.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with trade customers.
* Strong understanding of sales strategies and techniques.
* Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building long-term customer relationships.
* Knowledge of building plastics and related products.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
* Ability to work independently, effectively prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
* Positive attitude and a proactive approach to work.
* Familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance.
