Tire Technician Job Description
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tire Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be comfortable working with both hand and power tools. This role involves the installation, repair, and maintenance of tyres for various vehicles, ensuring safety and performance standards are met.
Working Hours
45 hours a week, Monday to Saturday (1 day off during the week and Sundays off)
Monday to Friday 08:30-17:30
Saturday 08:30-16:00
Duties
1. Perform tyre installations and removals on a variety of vehicles.
2. Inspect tyres for wear and damage, providing recommendations for repair or replacement.
3. Balance wheels to ensure smooth operation and reduce vibration.
4. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
5. Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
6. Assist in heavy lifting of tyres and related equipment as required.
7. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
8. Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer queries and concerns regarding tyre care.
Experience
1. Previous experience in a similar role.
2. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic issues.
3. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in tyre servicing is preferred.
4. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
5. A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and techniques in the tyre industry.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £26,933.00-£28,500.00 per year
