The post holder will provide effective and efficient functioning of the safety and security systems within the building reception.
Act as the first point of contact for all visitors, service users and their families to the building a whilst conducting themselves in a professional/engaging /calming manner, which positively reflects the values of the organisation and in a way, which will ensure that effective customer care exists with internal and external stakeholders.The key approach will be one of engagement, warmth and de-escalation when necessary and to act in a way that ensures that a positive experience of service users and their families is paramount.
o Implementing all safety procedures when initiated – including contacting the emergency services and relaying status reports in times of emergencies (E.G out break of fire, medical emergencies or incidents requiring police involvement) and senior staff, as laid down in individual procedures, including staff emergency, fire, etc.
o Ensuring that the experience service users and carers is positive, by treating service users and their families with compassion, dignity, and respect always.
o Visitor management processes, recording details of those visiting, purpose of visit, location whilst on site and departure.
o Responsibility for testing, auditing, and reporting of all safety equipment in the reception. In the event of any failures, report these to the reception manager.
o In conjunction with any site security, provide staff with instruction on the use of electronic door passes/fob, emergency alarms, keys, pagers and relevant guidance on procedures and protocols.
