We're looking for a talented FPGA Design Engineer to join our team, working on safety-critical FPGA development across the full design lifecycle - from requirements elicitation through to final equipment testing. In this role, you'll use SCRUM methodology to develop high-integrity, FPGA-based solutions using the latest state-of-the-art toolsets. Your work will contribute directly to the protection and monitoring systems of a nuclear propulsion plant, where precision, innovation, and safety are paramount.

What you will be doing:
1. You will follow a safety critical development life cycle to develop requirements; develop and verify VHDL code; support hardware-based testing of designs; author and review design documentation.
2. You will liaise with Software, Hardware, Systems and Verification teams to ensure customer expectations are met effectively and efficiently.
3. You will contribute to the continuing improvement of the development processes and product quality.
Position qualifications:
1. You'll be qualified to degree level (or equivalent experience) in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
2. You'll have 5 or more years' experience in designing and verifying designs expressed using VHDL.
3. You'll have the ability to provide clear, concise and accurate technical reports.
4. You'll have knowledge and experience of safety standards such as IEC 61513, IEC 62566, IEC 26262, DO‑254.
