Randstad CP are looking for an experienced Technical Service Manager for a leading Facilities Management company based near Durham.
The role is pivotal to the success and growth of businesses/services and will report to the Contract Manager. You will have the ability to update and maintain up-to-date professional and technical competence and use this in the achievement of objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervision of the site team in accordance with company Procedures and Policies.
2. Ensuring the efficient and effective operation, maintenance and repair of the site’s M&E Plant and Equipment, Building Fabric, Site Infrastructure, External Works, Grounds, Transport and Waste Services.
3. Planning and controlling change.
4. Researching new technologies and alternative methods of efficiency. Ensuring that there is suitable cover to support a robust out of hours call out system for all contract service lines.
5. Ensure that appropriate controls are in place to confirm that reactive repairs to the site’s M&E systems (such as - but not limited to - BMS, Fire, Air Conditioning, Generators, Compressors and LV Electrical Distribution and Switch Gear), fabric and site infrastructure are completed correctly and in accordance with the contract requirements.
6. Provide technical support to team supervisors to prioritise and delegate reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks to the delivery team ensuring optimum levels of service delivery are being achieved.
7. Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance is carried out in line with task schedules and industry best practices.
8. Advising the Account Manager on labour levels and holiday/absence cover.
9. Sub-Contractor procurement and appointment.
10. Management of Specialist Service Contractors, including Induction and signing off and actioning minor works listed on service report sheets.
11. Monitor staff's performance and ensure service delivery meets and exceeds client's expectations.
12. Financial management and planning, reviewing budgets and managing cost inclusive of internal and external invoicing.
13. Support the Account Manager in producing Contract Review Packs in accordance with the Business Unit timetable.
14. Regularly monitor and audit Quality documentation to ensure compliance with company standards.
15. Ensure that all company standard policies relating to HR issues are understood and adhered to, including managing grievance/disciplinary processes as required.
Experience required:
1. Applicant must have and maintain a current valid driver's license.
2. At least two years at a similar level or equivalent.
3. Knowledge of current technical standards.
4. Knowledge of business-critical services.
5. Working in a Blue-Chip environment.
6. Formulating, Assessing and Validating Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
