Senior Associate Marketing (Senior Public Relations position)
London / Hybrid Working
As a key member of the Global Corporate Communications team for Publicis Sapient, you will work cross-functionally to help communicate with journalists; devise specific PR materials and campaigns; pitch and engage in face-to-face meetings with journalists and commentators; and develop print and web-based material and thought leadership content, supporting these campaigns.
We're looking for great communicators with a skill for storytelling, as well as technology and business PR expertise, who can understand complex tech and business issues and distil them into compelling narratives, talking points and pitches.
You will also have in-depth knowledge of the UK market and strong relationships with tech and business journalists in the UK. As an experienced and passionate PR & Communications professional, you will work closely with our Head of International Communications, and key UK and global thought leaders and subject matter experts.
You will be an integral part of the global Marketing and Communications team, involved in the proactive pitching of Publicis Sapients business, capabilities and its senior leaders.
Responsibilities
* Write and edit media content and press releases.
* Serve as a daily contact with media and internal spokespeople
* Proactively identify relevant newshooks and work with partners in the business to bring story ideas to fruition
* Actively pitch to target media to secure strategic press coverage in top UK national, regional and online media outlets including broadcast media in order to position Publicis Sapient as a leader in digital business transformation and AI/Gen AI
* Cultivate and maintain relationships with key tech and business media journalists
* Support the wider PR team by researching, drafting and contributing to press releases and other announcements, distributing and publishing this news as needed.
* Implement various public relations/communications initiatives designed to build the firm’s brand in key practice areas and diverse industries ranging from financial services to retail
* Monitor and analyse media coverage and industry trends, providing comprehensive reports and actionable insights on PR metrics and campaign performance
* Support daily public relations functions and maintain the press office infrastructure, such as updating media databases and pitch calendars, weekly and monthly reporting, media trends research and invoice submissions
* Develop and distribute weekly internal media relations newsletter
Qualifications
* Quantifiable experience with B2B PR experience; technology or professional services experience a plus, with established media relationships
* Exceptional pitching and networking skills, and ability to craft narratives that resonate with journalists
* Proven track record of successful media placements in top-tier tech and business publications (national media such as Press, TV, Radio)
* Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; experience working with senior execs a plus
* Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Proficient in PR reporting tools
* Excellent communication and English writing skills
