The post holder will participate as part of a team in providing Mortuary and Post Mortem Services to South Tees NHS Foundation Trust, North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, medical staff, Police and HM Coroners, together with Funeral Directors and other legitimate users of the service. The post holder will assist the manager to coordinate the activities of staff working within their area of responsibility and will oversee the day to day management of the technical team supervising APTs, Mortuary Attendants and the Mortuary Administrator in performing duties to established Standard Operating Protocols (SOP) ensuring resources are deployed to maximum effect to comply with local and national protocols. The post holder will assist in the maintenance and development of the mortuary qualitysystem including production and review of standard operating protocols (SOPs), training, development and competency assessment of other mortuary staff and completion of audits. The post holder will provide specialist advice to users of the service within and out with the Trust in a manner commensurate with the sensitive nature of the work.
