We have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Secretary to work in our Dispute Resolution department in Charminster. Previous experience in a legal practice would be ideal; and experience within a litigation team is welcome, but not compulsory. We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate an extremely high level of customer service, communication, and is quick to learn.

The team is led by Lauren Day, who is described by Legal 500 as ‘extremely knowledgeable, client-friendly and experienced in commercial litigation’.
The department consists of 10 qualified lawyers and 7 support staff and has a diverse portfolio of clients, including large property developers, national and international businesses and individuals. The department deals with a broad spectrum of litigation including contentious trusts and probate, property, commercial, landlord and tenant, insolvency and professional negligence disputes.
Main Responsibilities
1. Provide secretarial/administrative support to the team to include compliance, setting up files, closing files, and raising invoices;
2. Assisting in drafting, amending, and updating documents;
3. Audio typing;
4. Excellent communication over the phone, by email, and letter;
5. Diary management and arranging appointments for the lawyers in the team;
6. Conducting legal research as required;
7. Assisting with taking calls from new enquiries;
8. Maintaining and building upon existing client relationships.
