This role takes an office first hybrid approach here at London Gatwick, with three days a week in the office, two days remote, managed around the needs of the business.
What is the role?
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in communications. As a key member of the Corporate Communications team, you will support the delivery of our communications strategy and plan.
A core part of this role involves effectively working across the team to influence and project manage the corporate communications calendar, including key campaigns.
We are looking for someone who is data-driven and can drive our measurement and reporting efforts. You will ensure that all campaigns are measured for impact and effectiveness across all London Gatwick communication channels, both internally and externally.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will contribute to the development and review of content, provide support during crisis management, and assist the press office as needed.
What will you do?
Continue to develop the planning process for communications and ensure it is updated to ensure key deadlines are met and plans are prioritised and delivered
Provide project management support on continuous improvement deliverables with measurement of communications reach
Develop creative ideas and amplify stories through our media and social media channels
Support in press office, including on-call rota
Research and write press releases, briefing documents, social posts and internal communications
Do you have what we're looking for?
Experience or desire to work in a busy corporate communications environment and understanding of risk and reputation
Project management experience or understanding of project management or change management desirable
Good writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Ability to understand and create different styles of writing for internal and external audiences
Good awareness and interest in corporate communications, both internal and external
Good understanding of the UK and international press, media relations and social media
Experience of working collaboratively across teams, external stakeholders and channels Experience and knowledge of crisis media handling
