Job Description
1. Engage with colleagues at all levels to promote a highly engaged EHS culture across the site through behavioural observations, coaching, analysis, communication, and engagement with all relevant parties.
2. Coach, advise, and support all staff to ensure safe systems of work are robust and maintained.
3. Ensure effective communication takes place through all channels to maintain awareness of EHS issues through regular meetings, briefings, information, and consultation at the site EHS forums.
4. Develop, implement, and maintain the relevant management systems which support the recognised EHS certifications and other standards in conjunction with the Head of EHS (e.g., ISO 14001/45001/MCerts).
5. Lead subject-specific projects, including multi-discipline team members at site or across multiple group sites, applying knowledge, experience, and all aspects of your duties as directed by the Head of EHS.
The Successful Applicant
Minimum 3 years' experience working at EHS Manager level.
Minimum 5 years' experience working within EHS in a manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge and experience of ISO 45001/14001 management system standards, compliance, and auditing techniques.
NEBOSH Level 3 National General Certificate Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management or equivalent or commitment to achieving.
Preferred:
1. Food Manufacturing experience.
2. Experience with PUWER & DESEAR assessments and management.
3. Experience working with services - Steam, Water, Gas & Air - understanding risks and compliance regulations.
4. Experience in writing H & S documentation (e.g., Risk assessments) and coaching at Operator level.
5. Experience with Behavioural safety programme delivery.
6. Capital Project Health & Safety experience.
7. Up to date with current health, safety, and environment regulations/legislations.
8. Experience working with Engineering teams focusing on safe installation/maintenance of equipment and overseeing external contractors.
9. Capable & experienced in conducting in-house training sessions on health and safety awareness.
10. Tracking incident metrics and applying findings using RCA methodology.
