MPA Recruitment are working in partnership with their market leading construction client to recruit a Permanent Bookkeeper.
Our client based in the Cookstown area is an innovative construction company who pride themselves on customer satisfaction and excellence in the workplace.
Our client can be flexible in working hours, we are interested in receiving CVs from both part time and full-time hours.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
* Process and reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and payments.
* Prepare and submit financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
* Track job costs and allocate expenses to individual projects.
* Complete monthly VAT returns.
* Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
* Complete CIS subcontractors’ payments/returns.
* Monitor and report on cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
* Assist with tax preparation and liaise with external accountants.
* Perform additional administrative and clerical tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a bookkeeper, in the construction industry.
* Proficiency in accounting software (Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).
* Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
* Experience with job costing and financial reporting in a project-based environment.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
