The Physiotherapy Team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (Eastern Services) are looking to recruit an experienced band 6 Physiotherapist with an interest in Cancer Services to a 22 month (fixed-term) full-time ( hours/week) position.
The post-holder will be responsible for providing clinical expertise to patients attending the Living with and Beyond Cancer (LWBC) service delivered across our eastern and northern hospital sites. Support to patients will be given within one to one and group settings (with emphasis on peer support) and will range from prehab to optimise patients in the lead up to surgery, to post operative advice and exercise. The post-holder will be expected to expertly assess these patients and implement tailored treatment plans. The provision of respiratory treatment and advice will be essential to the role, alongside supporting symptom burden and onward referral to community services and local support groups.
This role will be an integral part of the LWBC team and will provide specialist knowledge and teaching to the staff across the Trust. There will be close liaison with the multi-disciplinary teams in both the acute service and the community. An understanding of community services, 3rd sector and other voluntary organisations will be required. There will also be the opportunity to support the inpatient wards when the service requires.

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2024-5 rates, inclusive of a pay award implemented from October 2024. If you join before this date, the pay award will be backdated to April 2024 or your start date, whichever is later. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 2023-4 pay bandings (Pay scales for 2023/24 | NHS Employers).
