You will work as an autonomous practitioner as part of the Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy service, delivering a service to children and young people with a wide range of speech, language and communication needs. Assessing, differentially diagnosing and treating a specified caseload of children with speech, language and communication impairments some of whom will be from a variety of ethnic and social backgrounds. This may include working with interpreters to assess all languages which children are exposed to. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team providing advice for the EHCP review process.
Liaising with, and training other health, education and social service professionals; and to work in partnership with parents/carers and external agencies to ensure the delivery of a high quality service.
