Company Accountant - Part-Time- Toomebridge

You’ll play a crucial role in supporting senior management, sales and operational teams to ensure financial health and strategic success of the business. Duties will include:
* Financial Leadership: Provide reliable, accurate monthly financial reports to directors, enabling informed decision-making.
* Budgeting & Planning: Lead the budgeting and business planning process, offering insights and recommendations to optimize performance.
* Cashflow Management: Forecast and manage cash flow to ensure the company’s financial stability.
* Data Projects: Oversee key data initiatives, ensuring data quality and integrity.
* Vendor & Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with accountants, suppliers, and banks to maintain strong external relationships.
* Cost Control: Monitor company expenditure, ensuring value for money across all areas.
* Process Improvement: Challenge existing processes and recommend enhancements for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
* Compliance & Reporting: Prepare VAT, payroll, and other statutory returns (UK & Ireland) and manage the preparation of audit files.
* Grant Applications: Oversee the preparation and submission of grant applications and claims.
* Team Leadership: Supervise, guide, and mentor a small finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
* Business Partnering: Collaborate with senior management and external stakeholders to drive business growth and success.
Skills and Experience:
* Qualifications: Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) with 3+ years of experience, or a Qualified by Experience Accountant with a proven track record.
* Sector Experience: Experience in the Engineering or Manufacturing sector.
* Data Expertise: Strong data analysis skills, with experience working with large data sets.
* Financial Acumen: Expertise in financial forecasting, consolidated accounts preparation, and commercial finance.
* Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
* Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Continuous Improvement: A proactive mindset focused on driving process improvements.
* Tech Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office and accounts software (Sage experience is a plus).
