Mesaieed International School is a non-selective, community school owned and operated by QatarEnergy. It offers a thriving, happy, and vibrant environment with high aspirations for its students, staff, and the diverse community it serves. The Role
We are seeking a suitably experienced, creative, and dynamic female teacher of Physical Education who can inspire both students and colleagues while building upon the faculty’s success.
We are looking for a teacher with a passion for shaping thinking and practice as we continue striving for excellence in all areas of our school. You will be a tireless advocate for your subject and forward-thinking in your approaches to development, change, and improvement. This year, we are beginning work on our innovative concept-based curriculum. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful curriculum design as we reshape what and how students learn during their time with us.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
· A comprehensive record of teaching experience (KS3-KS5) and a strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for England, BTEC Levels 2 and 3, (I)GCSE, and A-Level specifications.
· A commitment to providing the best education and opportunities for our students through a solution-focused approach.
· The ability to work independently while remaining a strong team member.
· A capacity to help students achieve their absolute best as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
· Demonstrate up-to-date knowledge and experience of teaching physical education through to A Level and BTEC .
· Provide a relevant and challenging learning experience for all students.
· Develop innovative pedagogical approaches within planning and teaching and learning.
· Develop language acquisition of bi and multi-lingual students.
· Ensure students are cared for in a happy, safe, and stimulating environment.
· Maintain accurate formative and summative assessment records that link to all learning.
· Provide critical analysis of the progress, intervention, and achievement of all children.
· Work with the community to develop good relationships and parent/school partnership.
Essential:
· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
· Recent and up to date knowledge of the National Curriculum for England.
· Experienced physical education teacher to A level and BTEC.
· At least three years’ experience as an outstanding school practitioner in a high performing UK or international school.
· Experience of using formative assessment systems to evaluate the curriculum.
· A team player, able to foster trust and offer challenge to colleagues.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Commitment to continued personal and professional development.
Desirable:
· Understanding of BTEC qualifications.
· Evidence of leading extra-curricular opportunities in physical education.
· A swimming qualification.
· Knowledge, understanding, and experience of concept-led curricula at KS3.
