Occupational Therapist

Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist looking for your next challenge? This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading rehabilitation service as an Occupational Therapist, delivering outstanding care and support to individuals recovering from acquired brain injury (ABI).
About the Role
As a Occupational Therapist, you will:
1. Provide specialist assessment and intervention to help clients regain independence, including vocational rehabilitation for returning to work or study.
2. Work collaboratively with clients, carers, and families to set client-centered goals and deliver tailored treatment plans.
3. Contribute to the development and integration of evidence-based practice, including innovative technologies, into the service.
4. Supervise rehabilitation assistants and students while participating in interdisciplinary and multi-agency teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver high-quality therapy using clinical reasoning, experience, and reflective practice.
2. Engage with families and carers, providing education and training to maximize client independence.
3. Perform risk assessments and home visits as needed.
4. Ensure excellent clinical record-keeping and produce detailed reports.
5. Participate in the evaluation and introduction of new technology and resources.
6. Actively contribute to training sessions for carers, families, employers, and other stakeholders.
7. Stay informed on developments in ABI rehabilitation and participate in audit and research activities.
About You
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
1. A strong background in occupational therapy, ideally with experience in acquired brain injury rehabilitation.
2. Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, families, and external organizations.
3. A commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
4. The ability to supervise and support others, including students and team members.
5. Knowledge of relevant legislation such as safeguarding, the Mental Capacity Act, and the Disability Discrimination Act.
