Your Day to day duties in the role You will be involved in mig and tig welding and fabrication of components. Experience/Skills and Education Requirements Desirable: Welding Carbon Steel from 6mm up to 150mm Heavy plate Mig welding experience is critical, some of our machined joints at take up to 60 weld passes over a distance of 3m Tig welding experience beneficial Working to strict WPS under close supervision Coded to BS EN 9606 Using overhead crane All work produced is to be capable of passing UT, MPI and visual inspection Grinding, Gouging, and Polishing Knowledge of pre-heating methods Will display knowledge of preparing root welds with ceramic backing Will be required to undertake and pass a security background check Any other ad hoc duties as may be required and as are commensurate with the grade of the post Hours of work The role is on days The work is on a permanent basis 4 days per week.
