We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee/Emergency Nurse Practitioner or an experienced senior emergency department nurse wanting to advance their career. The ENP service is based over two hospital sites.
Minor Injuries services are based in the Minor Injuries Unit at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline and A&E at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy; both these services operate a 24/7 walk-in service.
Our ideal candidate will be an experienced Emergency Nurse Practitioner with:
1. Non-medical prescribing and Minor injuries training – including x-ray interpretation, suturing, plastering, management of complex wounds and injury skills;
2. A minimum of one-year consolidated practice as an Emergency Practitioner would be desirable;
3. Competence in autonomous assessment, examination, diagnosis, and treatment.
We need experts who can help us in sustaining optimal performance and quality care. If you have a real passion for Emergency Nursing, we want to hear from you.
In line with the national arrangements for pay and banding of trainees, this post is open to suitable individuals who can demonstrate an ability to develop into the role of Emergency Nurse Practitioner following the successful completion of a structured academic and in-house training program.
Annex 21 - Trainees are paid a percentage of the pay band maximum for the qualified rate, which is dependent on the duration of the training period (see Terms and Conditions).
A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
