Working alongside the class teacher, you'll help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment where students can thrive. Key Responsibilities of Primary SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties. Assist in the delivery of tailored lessons and activities to meet individual learning needs. Help students develop their social, emotional, and academic skills through positive reinforcement and guidance. Support students with their personal care needs as required, ensuring their safety and well-being. Collaborate with the class teacher and other staff to monitor and track student progress. Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence in students. Requirements of Primary SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) Previous experience in a similar role or working with students with special educational needs. Understanding of the national curriculum and strategies for supporting students with SEN. Ability to employ a range of teaching strategies that engage and inspire students, making complex concepts accessible and interesting. Strong ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, building positive relationships and fostering a collaborative learning environment. Passion for supporting students with SEN and a commitment to their academic and personal development. Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies, with a commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all students. Why Join Us?
